The Mary Leonard Law Society is excited to welcome Oregon’s four newest members to the appellate bench for an informal discussion. Panelists will include Chris Garrett (who will join the bench in February), Judge Doug Tookey, Judge Joel Devore, and Judge Erin Lagesen. Judge Rebecca Duncan will moderate. Come ready to welcome the new judges and to ask them about their roads to the bench, early impressions as they join one of the busiest appellate courts in the nation, and any other burning questions you may have.

Liani Reeves serves as chief legal advisor and general counsel to Oregon Governor John Kitzhaber M.D. Roland Iparraguirre serves as deputy director and chief operating office at the Oregon Lottery. Jennifer Todd is currently a Salem area private practitioner, with a wealth of past experience including time on the Marion County Probate Court and as a professor at Willamette University College of Law. Attendees are encouraged to arrive between 5:15 and 5:30 for informal networking over refreshments with each other and the presenters. The panelists will speak from 6-7pm. Combatting Human Trafficking
