CASA of Marion County Monthly Giving Campaign Launch: Friday, Sept 18, 2015, 7:00pm

CASA of Marion County needs you this Friday evening

Court Appointed Special Advocates are community volunteers appointed by a judge to advocate for abused and neglected children in state care. A CASA volunteer may be the only constant in that child’s life.

The need is great — on average, over 1,000 children in Marion County are in foster care.

So how can you help?

CASA of Marion County will launch a Monthly GIving Campaign this Friday, September 18, at Illahee Country Club. Marion County Commissioner Kevin Cameron will join us, as well as Lené Garrett, the new Executive Director of CASA of Marion County.

We will have desserts and time to mingle with others interested in helping children in Marion County.  Please join us for the launch of our Monthly Giving Campaign!!

Starting Monday Mar 2, 2015 – Mandatory File & Serve in Marion County

Mandatory eFiling is quickly approaching for Marion County on March 2, 2015. Many of you are already familiar with the system and have been eFiling your pleadings. For those who have not yet signed up for File & Serve, please use the resources listed below to get yourself prepared for Monday.

As of Monday, attorneys must use the File & Serve system.  If you come to the courthouse to file a pleading by paper, we cannot accept your filing.  Instead, we will direct you to a kiosk and scanner in our lobby so you can file electronically (if you do not wish to return to your office to file electronically).  However, you will not be able to use our kiosk and scanner unless you already have a File & Serve account.  You cannot set up your account from our kiosk.  We do not have the staff resources to walk you through this process so we are providing the links below to give you the information you need.

Here is our best advice:  If you have not done so already, please stop what you are doing and use the resources below to set up an account and begin electronic filing immediately from the comfort of your own office.

Link to File & Serve that contains a message of the day, a Quick Reference Guide, system requirements, technical support information, online training, free web training sessions and much more.

Statewide Implementation Schedule and the 6 steps to complete prior to March 2, 2015.

If you have questions that cannot be answered through these resources, you may contact our Administrative Analyst, Andrea Riley, at 503-584-4765 or by email at
