Three-part wellness event in May – Meditation, Seated yoga, Tai Chi

Working in Wellness: An Intro to Meditation, Yoga, and Tai Chi

The Mary Leonard Law Society invites you to a three-part wellness event in May. Join us after work on Wednesdays in May, when Rev. George “Kosho” Finch, JD, of the Foundation for Shingon Buddhism, will lead three introductory classes focused on wellness issues that affect legal practitioners.

  • May 4 – Meditation: straightforward stress relief for adversarial situations
  • May 11 – Seated yoga: stretches to relieve tension and the pain for desk warriors
  • May 18 – Tai Chi: simple movements for increasing circulation, energizing the mind and body

Register for one class or for the entire series. Cost is $7 per class or $15 for the series.

Rev. Finch leads the Foundation for Shingon Buddhism. Rev. Finch was ordained in 2006. Since then he has taught yoga, led meditation groups in Portland, Oregon, and served as assistant minister with the Koyasan Shingon Mission of Hawaii.

NHL Star Sheldon Kennedy & Exclusive Screening of Swift Current – April 19, 4:30 p.m.

You’re invited to attend this exclusive screening of the thought-provoking documentary Swift Current. The film tells the story of Sheldon Kennedy, a former NHL hockey player, who was sexually abused and went on to become a leading advocate for victims of child abuse.
