On November 18, 2016, from noon-1pm, the Marion County Circuit Court is hosting a brown bag session on how to properly present accountings in probate cases.
These accountings are often complicated and can be very time consuming to the court. This session will provide information to attorneys handling accountings on the best ways to present accountings to the court. These helpful tips will ultimately be time-savers for attorneys and allow the court to review them more quickly. The meeting will be in the Jury Assembly Room on the 5th floor of the downtown courthouse. Please join us!

The program will feature speakers from the Legal Aid Services of Oregon, the Oregon Law Center, Volunteers of America Home Free, as well as Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge Maureen McKnight. You will learn the dynamics of domestic violence, the legal framework in domestic violence cases, how to represent clients in contested restraining order hearings, and tips from the bench.
After the CLE simulcast, you will have the opportunity to meet attorneys from LASO’s Salem Regional Office and ask them questions about LASO’s domestic violence program.
