Litigation 101 CLE Series – Wednesdays, April 4 to May 30

The MCBA is pleased to join with Willamette University College of Law to sponsor Litigation 101, a nine part CLE series aimed at providing to young and experienced lawyers alike the nuts and bolts of litigating cases in Marion County and throughout Oregon.

The series will run each Wednesday, April 4 to May 30, from 3:30 to 5:00  (see below for detailed schedule).

Four Attorneys Named Shareholders in Salem Law Firm

The Salem law firm of Garrett Hemann Robertson P.C. is
pleased to announce that four of its attorneys – Ryan P. Hunt, Eric W.
Jamieson, Kelly D. Noor, and Lucas W. Reese – have been named Shareholders
in the firm.

Ryan Hunt’s practice is focused on construction defect litigation, real
property litigation, business litigation, and land use law. He litigates
complex construction defect cases on behalf of school districts and
homeowners. He also represents contractors on claims of improper work and
for non-payment, and injured individuals in catastrophic injury cases. Prior
to joining the firm in 2007, Hunt practiced at an insurance defense firm,
and prosecuted misdemeanors for a local city. He holds a J.D. from
University of Oregon School of Law.

Eric Jamieson practices business and corporate law, tax law, and handles
real estate transactions and development. Jamieson provides effective
strategies for solving complex tax problems. His clients include businesses
and tax-exempt organizations, professionals, and individuals who seek
expertise in business acquisitions and sales, tax and succession planning,
entity formation, and real estate development. Jamieson belongs to the Salem
Area Chamber of Commerce and SEDCOR, and he volunteers his time to Habitat
for Humanity. He joined GHR in 2009, and holds a J.D. from University of
Montana School of Law and a master’s degree in tax law.

Kelly Noor is an experienced school law practitioner, representing school
districts, education service districts, and other public entities in all
areas, including human relations and employment, special education, student
issues, and public contracting matters.  She represents clients at all
levels, both informally and in judicial and administrative forums. Noor is
involved in developing future attorneys as a coach of the West Salem High
School’s championship Mock Trial teams. She joined the firm in 2007, and
holds a J.D. from University of Utah.

Luke Reese consults with employers assisting them in avoiding disputes in
the areas of Employment Law and Human Resources Law. He represents public
and private entities in defending employment, tort, and civil rights
litigation. Reese has joined in his family’s long-standing commitment to the
Salem community and practicing law. He serves on the board of directors for
the Boys & Girls Club of Marion & Polk Counties and participates in the Teen
Court program. Reese joined the firm in 2007, and holds a J.D. from
Willamette University College of Law.
