Sale and social to be held Wednesday, March 5 from 5:30-7:30 pm
The Willamette University College of Law Women’s Law Caucus (WLC) is now accepting donations of clean, gently used, men’s and women’s professional clothing: suits, slacks, blouses, button downs, etc. for their annual professional clothing sale. The clothing will be sold to law students to help them look the part for summer jobs, internships, externships, and volunteer work. Proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Mid-Valley Women’s Crisis Service.
Clothing donations may be dropped off at Student Affairs in the Willamette University Law building, 245 Winter Street SE. Please notify Student Affairs that you are donating to the WLC sale. You may also contact Casondra Albrecht at firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange for a student to pick up your donation.
Networking social and professional clothing sale with MLLS and Willamette Women’s Law Caucus

You are invited to join MLLS and the Willamette Women’s Law Caucus (WLC) for an after-work social at Rick’s Cafe in the lower lobby of Willamette University College of Law. WLC will hold a gently used professional clothing sale as a fundraiser for Mid-Valley Women’s Crisis Service. Clothing styles available for women and men. Bring your student mentee and help him or her build a professional wardrobe for upcoming summer clerkships and externships! Join us for the social even if your professional wardrobe is complete.

Combating Human Trafficking

Mary Leonard Law Society will join with Willamette University in March to present a panel discussion on human trafficking and on-the-ground efforts that are being taken to combat this serious violation of human rights. Panelists include Assistant United States Attorney Hannah Horsley, FBI Victim Specialist Shannon Meyer, Joel Shapiro of Shared Hope International, Tana Rogers of the FBI Child Exploitation Task Force, Immigration lawyer Chanpone Sinlapasai of Marandas & McClellan LLC, and Gwynne Skinner from Willamette University’s International Human and Refugee Rights Clinic.
