Mary Leonard Law Society presents “1965, Selma, Alabama: The Right to Vote.” Ronald Silver, Assistant United States Attorney, District of Oregon, will take you back to Selma, Alabama, through pictures and commentary, explaining the struggle that led to the passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Ron will take you on a visual journey as he tells the story about major and minor players that shaped the decision to march in Selma and helped to frame the legal aftermath.
