The goal of Parts 1 and 2 of this series is to provide lawyers with an understanding of basic electronic processes so they can establish meaningful firm policies for internet usage in and out of the office. In the process, lawyers will be able to know what to look for when purchasing services from a variety of internet vendors.

This final program will take a look at OSB Ethics Opinion NO. 2011-188 (Information Relating to the Representation of a Client: Third-Party Electronic Storage of Client Material): What constitutes “Third-Party Electronic Storage”? What can lawyers do to achieve core competency with respect to internet usage? Why is it important to stay current on technological advances affecting the products and services you use in your practice (and how to do it)?
